 It's already over? ): It went by so fast! I spent most of it playing SMT: Persona 3 and a little bit of 4, but it was definitely worth it. My relatives that had been staying for a couple weeks left a couple hours ago, so the house will be quiet again. I guess it wasn't that bad that they were here. I did, however, procrastinate on homework (oh, no!) Well, I should go back to it. :D

 I haven't been blogging much this week, but to sum it up, it was pretty crappy. It flew by, with nothing really happening (except for my relatives coming over...and staying for two more weeks) until today, Thursday. I had four tests today--One in Spanish, one in Math, an in-class essay in English, and a test in Psych. I know I failed two of them, and one I did really meh in, and it just. really set me off. At first I was just okay with it, but when I got the school newspaper (which is kind of ironic because in Spanish, one of my test questions was "Why do you feel that it's important for there to be a school newspaper?" and I answered "It's good that we have a school newspaper because it's beneficial for us to know information that's occurring in the community and elsewhere." just, in more basic terms.) I found out that the SAT II Subject tests weren't required for the class of 2012 and beyond. And that was simply the ending point. I had recently signed up for my first SAT II test for May, and all of a sudden, the current freshmen class get a break from it because of the economy? Because the idea that parents are not realizing that there aren't these tests available (which I find ridiculous, because it's obvious that they're out there, and it's the fault of the kids if they don't look up the school information earlier) ? I find that these excuses, for they really are excuses, and not valid reasons, in my opinion, are really lame. Students in our year are hurting from the economy too. I hate that the year of '10 are always the guinea pigs, the experimental year in which the schools and board of education just love to play with us. We're always the first year that new things start (like how we were the first year in which Driver's Ed was no longer available, where the waste-of-time Futures class was introduced, where we're the last year to use the old books, where we were the first class being mandatory to take the EAP for Cal State, for being the first class in which more elective credits are required.) Why must we always be in the middle? It aggravates me how they don't consider us, how different it is for our year and the younger years--just by one or two. I'm aggravated how the College Board works, and how college works in general. It aggravates me that just because I happen to be part of the class of '10, I still have to take the SAT IIs, that I still have these extra things to do. Although I completely understand that one can argue and say that it's actually a loss for them since there's one less thing to consider, the idea is that THERE'S ONE LESS THING TO CONSIDER. And less money to spend. And one less thing to worry about. I don't have to worry about the kid who has been taking SAT prep class since elementary, I don't have to worry about spendings hours and hours and lots of money to simply prepare for a STUPID. AND POINTLESS TEST. It crushes my motivation to realize that they, the current freshmen, who have those who have considered where they want to go, and there are those who haven't considered it get the privilege of not having to take it, while us juniors, who are freaking about looking good for colleges, have to stress out because of it. I hate how they decide things, and that although they might not intend it, there really have affected people. With one decision, one number, they have affected the lives of million of families out there, good and bad. 

Doubt anyone out there actually pays attention to the yearly list that I make (for those who do, kudos!--for those who don't, scroll down and you'll see at least two), but anyway. I'm pretty glad that I make these lists, because it makes me realize that I actually do accomplish some things throughout the year. It makes me feel slightly better about myself, even though they're really random events, and I could totally be talking about other important, and relevant things. I should be blogging more, because it makes me feel better--and I all of a sudden have a lot more things to talk about. And I believe that blogging is a nice way for me to keep in touch with the past, and how much I've changed throughout the years. I wish I stayed with blogging in the past, rather than taking year jumps of not keeping in touch with myself. Although it may sound strange, but I love looking at past conversations and past posts on my blog and on forums and whatnot because I find myself changing--whether it be in a good or bad way, I'm changing, through time, growing into a person who will soon be developed, hopefully a good one.

I've made some mistakes in the past that I don't need to blog about (though I did, f you look carefully) but I also want to blog about the feel-good memories, the one that should overturn the bad ones. Such as the times in my AT Bio class, or in Spanish, or English. I don't want to look back and find all these brooding blog posts about how life is so uncertain (though I do want to keep those to laugh at [hopefully] in the future) I want to laugh at the happy moments, the ones that I'll be bringing up at my High School Reunion, years and years later (if my high school will even have one)

But that shall be reserved for another day~ I've got some more lists to look at.

A Certain Elephant - Elephant Comics

School starts in like, nine days. And I haven't finished my summer assignment. Ohnoes! I'll be able to do it. I hope +__+ Oh, and I got a haircut, like, yesterday. I don't like how it came out. BUT IT COULD'VE BEEN WORSE. That, and my mom just keeps telling me to remind myself, 'IT'LL GROW. IT'LL GROW.'

Today was my program verification day for school, where we got our agendas. And they're yellow :'D But it could've been worse. The ID didn't come out too bad though. I actually like my picture, for once. xD Even though I don't even have that hair anymore.

So I'm in two...and maybe one more "advanced" classes, one "regular", and I'm behind in two. But I have to do this good year. Or else I'd never forgive myself. But moving on.

I came back from my Mammoth Trip two weeks ago and so we're waiting for pictures and stuff.  But I'll post what I put on my other corner anyway.

I'm finally back from my camping trip! And something horrible happened.

I forgot my camera.

I know, right? How stupid is that! So I totally thought that my task #18 (Take a picture everyday for 364 days) would be ruined, shattered, and I would have to start over.

But! My mom saved the day by suggesting stopping by the local Rite-Aid and buy one-time-use cameras. So I was able to accomplish that part of the tasks +__+ I just need to wait for the pictures to be developed and post 'em up as soon as I get it!

So how to describe my camping trip? It was epic. There were a few bumps here and there that didn't seem to go my way, but I sort of made the most of it. Soort of. In Mammoth there is a population of about 7,591 (or maybe I got a couple digits mixed up), so the town was pretty small compared to where I live--where there are about 2,000+ students at the local high school. There's this cool bus system that runs without pay, and we definitely made the most of that. I'm pretty sure there was this one bus driver that recognized us immediately--considering we went on her bus about ten times in one day xD In the entire town, there was one McDonalds, one Starbucks, one Quiznos, one Rite-Aid, one Shells, one Vons, and a whole buncha biking/sport shops. And people with dogs. There was even a skateboard park. I was kind of jealous, but I know that we don't need a skateboard park where I come from. That, and Mammoth Lakes didn't have a track D: There was definitely a lot of people running around. Shirtless. It was awkward for me xD I felt intimidated by the athleticity of all the townspeople around. And now I understand why Kent (one of my friends in x country) had come to Mammoth Lakes last year. There were also a couple of x country teams that we saw in Mammoth and on the way back. At first I thought they were from my school because their "C" (which is an insignia that I thought was only used at my school) but then I soon found out they were from a school called "El Cajon" or something along the lines of that. The other team was on the way back from Mammoth Lake, but I don't know where they were from-nor do I really care, actually.

I visited the Devil's Postpile in the middle of the trip, which was definitely interesting, considering it was all nature-made--and it was then when I realized that I totally needed to hike again. I got out of breath really easily and I really felt out of shape.

After the Devil's Postpile, we were going to walk to Rainbow Falls, but we ran out of time--and we were tired.

I stayed at Mammoth for three days and then went down to Convict Lake, and that was where the real fishing went down. We caught about four fishes--but at the cost of my sister and her boyfriend's skin. They got burnt. They're still recuperating from it xD But the fish was absolutely delicious. Even my mom told me that we eat better food at camp than at home--which is kind of embarassing. But anyway.

What I enjoy most about camping trips is the clear night sky. I know it sounds cliché or whatever, but it's definitely true. The full moon illuminating the campsites and all the neighboring fires, as well as the stars that were splashed throughout the sky...I wish I had a camera that could have taken a picture of it. My friends find me weird for being so obsessed about it, but I can't help it.

There was also this cute guy that I kept seeing, but I won't mention about him. xD;

The Mission
Finish 101 preset tasks in 1001 days!

The Criteria
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

I'll be creating a separate journal for my 101 tasks and I'll try to update it as much as possible!

So, tomorrow I have midterms, and I SHOULD be sleeping right now, but anyway.

Day 1: 0,5,6 -- Chemistry, Spanish, HOME!
Day 2: 0, 1, 2 -- Chemistry, English, AP Euro
Day 3: 3,4 -- Math, PE

So I'm glad I get to leave early on the first day, and then on the second day I'm going to be DEAD...but if I survive that, then I'll have math and pe last...which ooookay, but I would have preferred having English with pe or something xD

Vincent Valentine is my default because Valentine's Day is coming up next month xD

So! It's Veteran's Day Weekend, and so far I've been drawing (: With Jen and Vivian.

So I'm "improving" and I'm also having THE time of my life. With markers. And I'm inspired to get better at drawing now (: Even though I suck at it right now D: Especially since I make it all sketchy-like and horrible. ): I haven't scanned everything, but in the past two days, I've drawn six things D: which is kind of pathetic considering everything is out of proportion, my coloring sucks and Vivian and Jen drew like MILLIONS AND MILLIONS of stuff.

Anyway! I'm off to drawing again >w< And yes, I'm kind of taking a break from writing after being uninspired for quite some time D: But I'm not giving that up! No way~

Yeah, I know. It's been a while. A LONG while.

I'll just start off saying that a lot of stuff has been going on, and I'm not going to be writing about it too much. Even though one useful purpose of a blog is to rant and whatnot. OH! I got DSL (: Yes, fast internet. Goodbye dial-up and lag! Hello YoutTube and fast...stuff .__.

Anyway. It HAS been a while mostly because for the last month, I had no internet. Due to my sister. I won't get into too much detail with that because I'm still kind of pissed about what happened; but thankfully her boyfriend helped with it like...two days ago.

Halloween was superb.

Sarcasm.

I got the least amount of candy in history (well, my sister got one piece of snickers), and I walked so much D: I was dressed as Haku (: And I went with Jen who was dressed as an Asian Slut (Uh...not literally xD) and Vivian, a bloody pokemaniac. It was quite amusing until her brother came and jacked the labcoat O:!

Now that Daylights Saving Time ended, it looks like it's 9PM right now (exaggeration!) and when I get to school, it's way too bright. You see, I'm used to being "blind" in the morning. Everything is pretty much pitch black. Today, I was actually able to see what I was sitting on, what I was walking on, who I was talking to and the janitors that wander around the school. Kind of freaky. And the weather was...blehh. Typical fall/winter weather. Lots of wind. And I was wearing a thin long-sleeved shirt.

So much for not complaining! But anyway. Vivian, Jen (and I...well..supposed to at least) are planning on making a doujin (Jen and Viv already started) and I'm supposed to panel...which is why I'm on LJ right now O:! To find that tutorial.

So off I go. Hope everything's going well with you guys too~

This is my first post and....I'm deciding that I'm going to write about my first day of school. Oh, but before I get to that, I gotta explain why I made a new LJ. The thing was, I was bored of my old username. And the X was beginning to piss me off. Secondly, some of the people I knew were beginning to say that it seemed soooooo Asian. Since, you know, I guess most Asians decide to put x's and o's in their usernames and whatnot. Although Meilanu is a username that I usually use for everything, LJ was a different story because I created my LJ before I came up with Meilanu. Buuut, here it is! And I need to make a new layout thing because it's not really looking that great right now. Moving on to my first day of school.

So, the night before I was being freaked out by the fact that I had barely any classes with any of my friends. Or so I thought. But, for the most part, it's true. I woke up at 7 today, and I was even more freaked out by the fact that since the lunch ladies don't allow money anymore, I couldn't buy lunch.

I then find out that I have one with Monica (but I missed because I didn't even know I had a zero period), none with Pork, none with God, none with Delaney, one with Sandra, none with Jennifer, two with Desiree, none with Joe Mark and none with my other friends.

On the other hand, I do have classes with those from last year that a) annoyed me, b) tried to copy my answers or c) never really talked to and never got acquainted with. I have three with Melissa K. (which isn't so bad I suppose), three with Shane Ortega, which is er, somewhat okay, two with Kai (who seems nice), and one with Calvin Lee. Which is dreadful for me =\ At least I don't sit next to him....unless Mr. Pak decides to change seats and whatnot.

I also realize that my counselor didn't change my schedule from 0-5 to 1-6, so I was absent for Chemistry with Mr. Jernigan. There goes my perfect attendance for the year. I would talk about my teachers based on my first impression, but I'm not feeling up to it at this time.

And so I talk with my counselor just before I'm about to leave school (seeing as he's the guy who allowed students to leave the school and whatnot) and he said he'll see what he could do. But I still have to go to zero period tomorrow. And I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to wake up that early.

Overall, my day at school sucked. I'm a bit cranky and I'm at the library typing this up because I eventually have to walk back to school (since Pork's my ride and whatnot) Did I mention that the walkway to my classes were even more crowdy because of the freshmen this year? I couldn't find ANYONE. It took me more than 3/4 of my lunch just to find Pork and God, and at snack I only saw Monica.

I'm going to go look for a book or something now =\
